Amanda Lacerda
About
Amanda Lacerda holds a degree in Fashion Design from SENAI/Cetiqt and a postgraduate degree in Fashion Marketing and Communication from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED-RJ). She began her career as a Style Consultant and quickly transitioned into Fashion Production and Styling, working as a freelancer for Brazilian artists and contributing to major publications such as Vogue, GQ Magazine, Marie Claire, Quem magazine, Contigo magazine, and the newspaper O Globo. She has also been part of advertising campaigns for global brands like Nike.
Her true professional fulfillment came through costume design for audiovisual productions — a field where her passion for storytelling through visual language fully came to life. Amanda has worked as a costume assistant on TV Globo productions and in the Brazilian film industry, and has signed off on costume design for advertising projects. She was also responsible for the visual development of the independent journalism program System Update, hosted by Glenn Greenwald.
Beyond fashion, Amanda is deeply inspired by history, art, and research — key elements that directly shape her creative process. She also expresses her aesthetic sensitivity through handcrafted work, with a special talent for crochet and macramé. This combination of technique, intuition, and cultural repertoire brings authenticity and meaning to each project she takes on.
My work is never just about aesthetics. Each project shapes me, transforms me, and leaves its mark within me. (Amanda Lacerda)
